Finite Element Analysis (FEA) is a method by which 3D CAD Designs can be analysed by application of virtual loads to calculate deflections, stresses and strains within the part.
This allows for design improvements to be made without needing to have expensive protoype parts made and tested.
Areas of high stress can be identified and strengthened, while areas of low stress can have excess material removed, resulting in a lighter, stronger design.
FEA can also be used to calculate modal frequencies of vibration to help solve your noise and vibration problems. It can also be used to apply dynamic loads and determine their effects, which are often significantly greater than that of static loads.
We perform finite element analysis (FEA) to accurately model products and processes to determine structural integrity, performance and reliability, as well as predict structural failures.
